The utility installs with just four predefined scan profiles, including one that scans to a color image PDF file, one that scans to a black and white image PDF file, one that scans to a black and white searchable PDF (sPDF) file, and one that automatically detects whether to use color or black and white, and then both saves the scan as an sPDF file and attaches it to an email message for you. The design gives you full control over your scan settings without overwhelming you with choices at any point.
